The yellow-haired human tried so hard to quietly make breakfast for Brig, but he was having none of it. After waiting patiently outside the door for the two women to stop… whatever they were doing, he was finally allowed back in to sleep at the foot of the bed. It was Yellow Hair who had opened the door and welcomed him back inside. She was good to him. She made his owner smile all the time, so he had decided she was good for them both.

Chapter 19

The yellow-haired human tried so hard to quietly make breakfast for Brig, but he was having none of it. After waiting patiently outside the door for the two women to stop… whatever they were doing, he was finally allowed back in to sleep at the foot of the bed. It was Yellow Hair who had opened the door and welcomed him back inside. She was good to him. She made his owner smile all the time, so he had decided she was good for them both.

She was not, however, good at cooking his meal fast enough. He’d noticed this issue the second time she’d cooked him breakfast. The first time he hadn’t known it was for him so he didn’t care about the speed with which she moved around the kitchen. Now, however, it was more pertinent that she finished soon. So, he made sure to give her encouraging barks as she scrambled the eggs and turned the fake bacon, which he refused to eat.

That was when his human walked in and made it known that she did not appreciate his enthusiasm. So, with a huff, he went to lay on the bed that the yellow-haired human had procured for him on his first visit. It would take even longer for her to finish the eggs now, because they would be attached at the mouth for much of the chore.

Sometimes humans could be so frustrating.
